How do I use pods?

On the appointed date, a truck delivers the pods to your house. You fill them at your own pace, then call the company to pick them up. When you are ready to unpack the pods, you call the company, and they bring them to your new house. Once you have emptied the pods, you call again, and the company comes and reclaims them. Often you do not even need to be home when the pods are delivered and picked up.
Are there any special considerations I should know about?
Packing moving pods is not quite like packing a moving van. Instead of putting the heaviest objects at the front of the container, you should spread the weight evenly across the floor of the container, with heavy objects on the bottom and lighter objects on top. You should also pack your belongings in extremely firmly, since the container may tip a bit as it is driven about and unloaded. Also, if the pod company does not provide a padlock, you will need to buy one yourself.
