I know that I love my dentist. But I also know that most people hate the dentists office. This is because they associate the office with pain. But most dental visits are not painful. Getting your teeth cleaned is not a bad experience. In fact, my dentist in Murrells Inlet is a fun experience for me.
I guess some people have root canals and other bad procedures that they find to be no fun. But if you think about it, by the time you need a root canal, the dentist is your best friend. The doctor will take away your pain and your visit to the dentist office should be welcome. But most people don't think about it that way. They think of them as people who they don't want to see.
Perhaps it is the guilt of not doing what the dentist tells you. Perhaps if you listened more and followed their instruction, you would have better results. I know that my doctor always tells me to floss. But I don't always listen and my teeth probably suffer as a result.
