A simple moving list will keep you organized and keep the headache to a bare minimum because we all know that they can not be completely avoided especially when you are getting free help or dealing with sleazy moving companies with careless movers. Damaging property can be a huge problem especially if you are selling the home or closing a lease because the case is most likely that there was a agreement on the condition of the property before the move and if the moving company ruins the hardwood floor by dragging a heavy couch or gouges the finish the buyers will not be very happy. Unfortunately the only way a moving list will help that is if you have the number of an excellent moving company and a list of all the needed protection. On your moving list you will want to have a code of some sort that will allow you to identify boxes and know exactly what is packed with what and where you have stashed them. This will prove to be very useful when unpacking at the new destination. You might not want to leave the truck full of you belongings where it its. Depending in the location you may have to worry about having the truck broken into and items stolen. Unfortunately that is the world we live in today and a moving list cant stop that unless you say on your list to double lock truck or sleep on front seat of truck. A moving list is a savior when its time to move. Keep yourself organized and on top of the ball. You will thank yourself when you get to the new home of your dreams and there will be no nightmares of sloppy hap hazard packed boxes haunting your for days and days.
