The internet is probably the greatest communications instrument since Gutenberg's printing press. Both inventions issued in mass communications at a level never seen before. The major difference is the internet allows for two-way communication. I can now express my opinions more accurately by blogging, tweeting or other social media platforms as well as building a website.
However, it is wise to be thoughtful of other beliefs, even contrary to your own. Carefully express yourself without the use of insult or vulgarity. When I submit my blog entry, I maintain these standards. Many blogs that allow me to submit my blog comments have guidelines designed to instill an open dialog of thought and opinion. Vulgarity, hatred and prejudice could stunt a blog's level of participation, and certainly would cause me not to submit my blog to such a pit of anger.
The same is equally true when it comes to my blogs. I maintain a code of ethics that will not offend those who wish to participate. Whether I submit my blog comments to you or vice versa, I always use this strategy.
Where to submit my blog topics? Go to such blog search engines as http://blogsearch.google.com/ (Note: do not include www). Submit the term that best fits the blog's category. For instance, if your blog is about baseball, search for baseball blogs.
There are services that will submit blogs. Return to your favorite search engine and enter the term, submit my blog. Many results will appear. These organizations will either submit my blog to internet directories or serve as internet directories. Sometimes a fee is required, as these businesses are marketing your blogs, yet others offer free services.
A blog's high search ranking is just as important as its content. Often, blogs are a direct link with an e-commerce website. Words expressed on a blog, whether by you or someone else may affect sales. Control your blog and you will better control your success in communicating or selling a message.
